“Part of what makes an organization strong is the willingness of individuals to step outside of their assigned roles and help when needed, using their own unique capabilities to benefit the community as a whole.  We should pause for a minute and celebrate Allen Thomas, JD, CFRE, CAP®, VP of Advancement, for that attribute as he moves on from The College.  Allen’s primary role is as a fundraiser in Advancement, and he managed our relationship with the Alumni Board for some time.  Equally as important, Allen made his legal and real estate background available to us whenever it was needed, helping us in our new building search, our real estate negotiations, our broker relationships and our purchasing and funding arrangements.  He added a lot of value to the process and was always willing to step in and help whenever he was asked.  Allen’s approach was always, 'How can I help The College?'  We can all learn something from Allen’s willingness to take on new challenges during the time he has spent here, and we will miss his counsel and contributions.  Please thank him when you see him for everything he has done for us.”
